No Surprises Act
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use their insurance benefits with a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of services. A Good Faith Estimate explains the anticipated fees for psychotherapy and related services provided by this practice. Because therapy is individualized, it is not always possible to predict the exact number of sessions or total cost of treatment in advance. Before services begin, you will receive information about fees and payment policies as part of the informed consent process. Any changes to fees will be communicated in advance. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges through a federal resolution process.
