FAQs
What can I expect in my first session?
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping will be different, and any questions you have about the process. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and collaborative.
What are your fees?
Initial Consultation (15 minutes): Free
Individual sessions (50 minutes): $150
Intake session (required for new clients, 1 hour): $175
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
I currently provide virtual therapy for adults located anywhere in Ohio. Our sessions will take place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform (Sessions Health) and can be accessed from the comfort of your home or another private location.
What if I need to cancel?
A 24-hour notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling. You can call or text 614-705-0926 or email ben@insidelanetherapy.com.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $75 late cancellation fee. This policy helps protect the time reserved for you and allows me to offer consistent care to all clients. I understand that unexpected situations arise. This policy is simply meant to honor the time we’ve set aside together and help me provide reliable care to every client.
How long does therapy usually last?
Therapy looks different for everyone. Some people come with a specific goal and attend for a handful of sessions, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change. We’ll regularly check in about your goals and adjust our work together as needed.
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
Research consistently shows that one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. If you don’t feel understood, it’s difficult to do meaningful work. That’s why I offer a free consultation and encourage you to ask questions. Finding the right fit matters.
